Common mistakes
- Multiplying meters by 0.3048 instead of dividing. Multiplication by 0.3048 converts feet to meters.

- Rounding the conversion factor too early. Using 3.28 may be adequate for rough estimates, but it compounds error over long distances.
- Entering a decimal comma when the calculator's documented convention is a decimal point. Ambiguous input is rejected to protect calculation integrity.
