Precision depends on how many decimals you keep after multiplication, not on a changing conversion factor.

Common mistakes
Do not divide pounds by 0.45359237; division performs the reverse kg-to-lb conversion. Do not confuse pounds with ounces: 16 ounces make one avoirdupois pound. Also avoid treating rounded display values as more precise than the source measurement. A scale reading of 150 lb to the nearest pound does not become a scientifically exact six-decimal measurement merely because the conversion formula can produce many digits.
