How to use this kilometers to feet calculator

What this calculator does. This tool converts a non-negative length or distance between kilometers and feet. It uses the international foot, defined exactly as 0.3048 meter, and the metric relationship 1 kilometer = 1,000 meters. It is therefore an exact unit conversion identity before display rounding. Input guide. Kilometers (metric) accepts a required plain decimal number in kilometers, such as 8.5. Values must be finite and at least zero. Use a period as the decimal separator; grouped numbers, scientific notation, unit text, and a decimal comma are rejected rather than silently reinterpreted. Raising this value raises feet proportionally. A common mistake is entering meters instead of kilometers. Feet (imperial) follows the same accepted format and domain. Enter a value such as 5,280 only as 5280; editing this field recalculates kilometers. A common mistake is mixing feet-and-inches notation, such as 5' 8", which this decimal-distance converter does not accept.
