How to use this crore to million calculator
What this calculator does. This converter translates a quantity between crores, used in the Indian numbering system, and millions, used in the international short scale. It also shows the underlying whole number in both Indian and international comma grouping. It performs an exact base-10 identity; it does not convert currencies, adjust for exchange rates, estimate purchasing power, or change the underlying amount.
When to use it. Use the converter when reading Indian company accounts that report revenue in crores, rewriting a budget for an international audience, checking news or government figures stated in different numbering conventions, or preparing a spreadsheet that must show both formats consistently.

Input guide. Crore(s) is a required nonnegative decimal amount measured in crores. Enter plain digits with an optional decimal point, such as 2.5; grouped commas, signs, scientific notation, currency symbols, and words are rejected to avoid ambiguity. Raising this value raises the million result in a direct 1-to-10 ratio. Million(s) follows the same accepted format but is measured in millions. Editing it switches the direction to million-to-crore; a value of 25 produces 2.5 crores. A common mistake is to divide crores by ten. The correct crore-to-million operation is multiplication by ten.
Output guide. Equivalent amount is the primary conversion in the opposite scale from the field most recently edited. Crore value and Million value preserve both equivalent quantities. Indian grouped number uses the 3-2-2 digit grouping pattern, while International number uses groups of three digits. Worked example. The startup value is 2.5 crores. One crore equals 10 million, so the calculation is:

Formula and number grouping
Because one crore is 10,000,000 and one million is 1,000,000, the ratio is exactly ten. Convert crores to millions by multiplying by 10. Convert millions to crores by dividing by 10.
crores = millions ÷ 10
The comma placement changes only the presentation. The international form groups digits in threes from the right: 25,000,000. The Indian form keeps the final three digits together and then groups remaining digits in pairs: 2,50,00,000. Both strings represent the same integer.
Accuracy and input limits
The converter accepts values from zero through 1 quadrillion in the selected scale, provided the derived result remains finite. Decimal inputs are supported up to the precision JavaScript can represent safely. For very large accounting values where every final digit matters, use the exported workbook together with the original source records and the organization's stated rounding policy.
